Regulations on the recognition and transfer of credits at Endor Digital University
1.1. These regulations aim to establish the framework applicable to the recognition and transfer of credits in official bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes delivered by Endor Digital University, in accordance with the provisions of Article 8 of the Regulations on the organisation of state higher education qualifications.
1.2. These regulations govern the procedure, academic criteria and institutional guarantees that must guide the incorporation into the study plan of prior learning accredited by students, including, where appropriate, non-formal education, non-academic activities and professional experience, with the explicit exception of cases linked to mobility programmes.
2.1. The recognition of credits regulated in these provisions applies exclusively to elective credits within the study plan.
2.2. The maximum number of credits eligible for recognition is 20% of the total credits of the study plan.
2.3. Recognised credits will be recorded in the student’s academic transcript as “recognised”, without a numerical grade, and will not be included in the calculation of the weighted average.
2.4. The Bachelor’s Final Project and/or the Master’s Final Project are, in all cases, excluded from the recognition procedure and cannot be subject to transfer.
3.1. The purpose of credit recognition is to assess and, where appropriate, integrate into the programme’s study plan the prior studies completed by students in other official qualifications or equivalent training programmes, provided that sufficient academic equivalence can be demonstrated.
3.2. The evaluation of applications is based on the following criteria:
I. Correspondence of course content: comparative analysis of the degree of alignment between teaching programmes.
II. Equivalence of competencies: verification of the correspondence between the competencies acquired and those предусмотрed in the study plan.
III. Learning outcomes: verification that the accredited learning outcomes enable the achievement of the programme’s educational objectives.
IV. Academic workload: equivalence between ECTS credits and the number of hours of student dedication.
V. Academic level of studies: adequacy of the level of the prior studies to the Andorran Qualifications Framework.
3.3. Compliance with the above criteria is a necessary condition for a favourable recognition decision.
4.1. During the admission process, the academic coordinator provides guidance and advice, facilitating the analysis of the student’s prior educational background and the proper formulation of their credit transfer plan.
4.2. The purpose of academic support is to ensure that the application meets the established requirements and that the proposed pathway maintains the internal coherence of the programme.
5.1. Students must request the evaluation of prior studies before the start of the programme.
5.2. The application for evaluation of prior studies must include:
I. A declaration of the prior studies completed.
II. Identification of the subjects for which recognition is requested.
III. The following supporting documentation:
5.3. The application and the accompanying documentation must be sent to the official address: secretaria.academica@endor.university
5.4. Only applications that include all the required documentation will be considered.
6.1. Upon receipt of the application, the Academic Board will proceed to evaluate the prior studies and, where appropriate, confirm the possibility of recognition.
6.2. The Academic Board may request additional academic reports to ensure the coherence of the training pathway and sufficient equivalence with the studies to be recognised.
6.3. The recognition decision will, in all cases, comply with the quantitative limits and material conditions established in these regulations and in the applicable regulations.
6.4. Recognised credits will be incorporated into the student’s academic record at the time of formalising their first enrolment.
7.1. The credit recognition procedure is governed by the following principles:
I. Transparency, through accessible information and public, verifiable criteria.
II. Equal treatment, ensuring the consistent application of the regulations to all students.
III. Academic coherence, ensuring that the learning pathway maintains its integrity and quality.
IV. These principles guide all phases of the procedure and ensure its academic and institutional validity.
These regulations shall enter into force once approved by the competent bodies of Endor Digital University.
